Submerged Electric Pumps

Seawater Lift Pump with Submerged Electric Motor – API 610 Offshore Solution

Eureka’s Seawater Lift Pumps with Submerged Electric Motors are vertical, multistage centrifugal pumps designed for continuous-duty offshore applications. These API 610-compliant pumps are ideal for seawater intake systems used in cooling, firewater, ballast, and utility water duties on FPSOs, platforms, and industrial plants. These pumps provide long-term performance and high corrosion resistance.

Engineered for reliability, the pump and motor assembly is fully submerged, minimizing footprint and ensuring low noise on deck. They are built in Super Duplex, Duplex, and NiAl Bronze materials.

All units are designed in accordance with API 610 and NORSOK requirements, comply with the EU Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, and can be ATEX and IECEx certified for use in hazardous environments.

Description

The submerged pump and motor are integrated as a vertical turbine solution for seawater lifting. The motor is water-glycol filled with insulated windings to prevent seawater damage. A deck-mounted header tank maintains constant overpressure for motor cooling and to prevent seawater ingression.

Pump Bowls & Impellers

  • Diffuser-type bowls for optimized hydraulic performance
  • Single-suction impeller design for low NPSH requirements
  • Wear rings installed with interference fit and mechanically secured

Riser Columns & Shaft Assembly

  • Flanged riser columns deliver seawater to the surface
  • External sacrificial anodes for corrosion protection

Nozzles & Connections

  • ANSI B16.5 Class 150 RF discharge flange (standard)
  • Custom configurations available

Bearings & Lubrication

  • Hydrodynamic, product-lubricated sleeve bearings

Submerged Electric Motor

  • Water-glycol filled with insulated windings to prevent ingress
  • Power supply: 400V to 13,800V
  • Deck-mounted header tank ensures over-pressure in water-glycol

Instrumentation & Monitoring

  • Vibration and temperature sensors (Motor equipped with temperature sensor)
  • Leakage detection systems
  • Full integration with platform control and monitoring systems
